About the Artist
Creating artwork is a journey for me, where I explore mood, personalities and environments in my work. Having a background in traditional and classical painting techniques, I like to merge traditional methods with a variety of expressive and contemporary techniques in the painting process. It gives me great satisfaction when I begin to see the world that is in
my mind begin to appear on canvas.
I was born in Salem, Oregon, and grew up in the greater San Francisco Bay Area of California. I received an MFA in Figurative Painting from the Academy of Art University San Francisco in 2010 and a BA in Studio Art from California State University Sacramento in 2006.
Ever since High School, I've had a love for both, art and music. However, I didn't get serious about art until years later, after raising three boys with my wonderful wife, Suzanne.
Currently, I paint and teach as an adjunct art professor at Cosumnes River College and San Joaquin Delta College in Northern, CA.
